Dr. Jensen spent most of his growing years in Mesa, AZ. There he enjoyed playing football, baseball, and basketball. Some of his fondest memories as a child are going to the ASU football games with his dad and spending summers water-skiing on Lake Powell.
Some of favorite pass-times are playing guitar, reading the classics, tracking stocks, and following politics.
Dr. Jensen decided to pursue a career in medicine after serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As a missionary, Scott grew to love serving people, and felt that he wanted to continue making a positive difference in the lives of families. Combined with his love of the sciences and statistics, medicine has been a good fit.
Dr. Jensen opened Jensen Family Medicine to allow him to spend more time with patients and with his growing family. The schedule at his practice allows for 20-30 minute appointments, which is more than the usual 10-15 minute appointment times of most practices. More time with patients means more time can be spent on wellness issues. The more we can help a person feel well, the less time they need to spend coming to the doctor. We will keep our practice small, so that you will experience “small-town” personal care and attention. We can guarantee continuity of care for each patient in the practice. If you are tired of the usual cattle-call medicine and waiting 2-3 weeks to see your doctor, we think you will find our practice a welcome change.
